Application:
DISCLAIMER: Application to paintwork which is damaged with rust, paint bubbles or chips may result in further damage when the decal is removed. Dragonfly do not take responsibility for any damage caused to paintwork through the removal of decals.
Dry application –
- Clean the surface of the vehicle to remove any dirt and tar with a soap water solution or if needs be a tar remover
- Peel the backing paper from the top a few centimetres and stick to the paintwork starting in your desired position
- Using a squeegee, rigid card or a cloth, smooth the vinyl in horizontal strokes whilst removing the backing paper slowly working your way down to the bottom of the decal.
Wet Application –
- Use a soap and water solution to apply the decal – a few drops of fairy liquid or baby soap in to warm water works well
- Remove backing paper completely and spray liberally over the back of the adhesive side of the decal
- Position the decal in the desired position on the vehicle – the soap solution should allow the decal to float on the surface
- Squeegee the soap solution out from the middle to the edges
Removal –
Dragonfly only use high quality vehicle grade vinyl. We recommend that if a sticker is intended to be removed, that it is done so as soon as possible. The longer the vinyl is on a vehicle, the more difficult it can be to remove. Trickier to remove stickers can be helped along with a heat gun to warm the vinyl. And any residue can be removed using readily available cleaners.
